ATMWISE VALUE PROPOSITION
Between 1983 and 2023, while world population has doubled (4 billion to 8 billion), yearly passenger traffic at busiest airports has quadrupled (25 million to 100 million). The demand for passenger, baggage and cargo transportation services has historically grown at twice the speed of world's population.
Air Transport System infrastructure is composed by two finite components:
- Air Operations' usable airspace portion, squeezed between aircraft's operational ceiling and altitudes below which aircraft operations become prohibitively expensive
- Airports' physical space (ATZ, Maneuvering Area, Apron, Passenger Terminal)
Based upon the undisputed reality that both components are finite, it is easy and logical to conclude that, as demand for Air Transport Service grows, at some point in time (which will vary amongst regions) Air Transport Service demand will exceed Air Transport System capacity and positive traffic flow (effective movement of flights from origin to destination) will result unfeasible.
What the world witnesses today, with higher emphasis at less Air Traffic Management educated regions, is a worrying proliferation of traffic congestions (airborne and on the ground), which is turning Air Transport Service increasingly costly, unpredictable, environmentally damaging and - at the limit, unsafe.
ATMWISE is born as a result of the four-decade experience of an Air Traffic Management Specialist, based outside Europe/Unites States axis, in virtually all areas of Air Transport Service, fully knowledgeable on Air Traffic Management recommendations published by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Authorities) and their different levels and ways of adoption, at different regions.
ATMWISE is primarily driven to regions where Air Traffic Management principles and concepts have been historically ignored and/or miscomprehended, by Air Transport Service planners, providers, regulators and users.
With solid roots in its principles - Expertise and Neutrality (no commercial links with any technology/solution supplier) and special attention to each region's administrative, operational and cultural environments, ATMWISE is firmly committed to turn Air Transport Service less costly, more predictable, safer and environmentally responsible at any region.
